"It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences." — Audre Lorde

I’m Anee Korme, Founder and Principal at Korme Consulting. With over 15 years of experience in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion, I have had the privilege of working with dynamic organizations across various industries to drive meaningful organizational change, support the growth of organizational leaders and cultivate inclusive cultures.

My journey in DEI consulting has been guided by a deep curiosity of human behavior and my own journey towards freedom. For me, diversity, equity and inclusion, at its core is about our human condition and journey toward freedom. My professional experiences in education, consulting and the nonprofit world have been an example of my lived commitment to social justice & equity, provided me with a deep understanding of organizational change and given me the skills to navigate across industry and generations. My approach is rooted in a Black liberatory framework; it is about restoring and deepening trust, centering authentic expressions of identity and cultural practices, collaboration over individualism and empathy. Every person and organization is unique, and I take the time to listen, learn, and co-create solutions that align with your values, goals, and aspirations. I am a strategic thinker, I thrive in challenging environments, and have a natural curiosity about life.

I have always lived a life of balance. It has been a personal mantra and guiding value for as long as I can remember-especially important given the heaviness equity work can bring. Beyond consulting, I am an avid reader, traveler and art enthusiast. I have a small Etsy shop called BLK + GFTD where I sell products with African inspired digital designs. I also collect artwork (mostly prints) from new and emerging Black artists. I also enjoy spending time with family including my husband and two children; there is nothing more important than the personal work I do around learning, growing and liberating my own family.

I don’t claim perfection, however, I do claim success. Success can look like many things; it could be the evolution of personal or organizational values, the expansion of belief for a client or even a new policy that is created for an organization. Success for me is simply measurable forward movement, growing and evolving for the future and I look forward to working together, with you, in that process.
